A Game for the Elderly and Disabled “Skittle & Carom”
Born in 1941 in Chita City, Aichi Prefecture, he graduated Nihon Fukushi University's Social Welfare Department before joining the Fukui Prefecture Council of Social Welfare and then transferred to the Kanagawa Prefecture Social Welfare Agency. After working at social welfare facilities in Yokohama and Kawasaki, he transferred to the retirement home which administrates 3 cognitive impairment facilities providing nursing for the blind, special nursing, and special nursing (severe). He later returned to Kawasaki and transferred to the Hakone Retirement Home Care Center, from which he retired early after 2 years in March 2000. He established the "Integrated Sports and Shared-Play Ball Game Research Center" in his home where he continues to advocate for the necessity of integrated sports and engages in the research, development, and promulgation of them.
