Amazon作品詳細
[About the Book]
In 1986, the author set out on a first journey through Italy, Greece, Switzerland, and France—a starting point for countless returns to Europe, where landscapes and episodes have been lovingly recorded.
From tossing a coin backward into Rome’s Trevi Fountain, to buying a Prada bag in Milan at his daughter’s request to celebrate her university admission; from traveling from the Côte d’Azur in southern France to Mont Saint-Michel in the north; to the breathtaking scenery of the Swiss Alps, Germany’s Romantic Road and a cruise down the Rhine River; and further on to the Central European cities of Vienna, Prague, and Budapest, as well as the Christmas markets of London and Paris—
Unforgettable views mingle with unexpected mishaps. Accompanied by vivid photographs, this book retraces memories of travel, bringing back the atmosphere and passage of time in Europe with every turn of the page.
