[About the Book]
In the profile of a face, in the sound of the wind, in the reflected light of the city—
beautiful forms quietly breathe everywhere.

This posthumous photo collection brings together the works of Emiko Shimomura, who devoted nearly forty years to photography and passed away in 2022. The volume was lovingly compiled by her husband.

A fleeting exchange of glances between a small bird and a young girl.
The scent of everyday life in Morocco.
The hidden sculptural beauty within lotus flowers.
Philosophical trajectories traced by trails of light.
The serene atmosphere enveloping a Japanese bride.

Each photograph is imbued with a sense of stillness and balance that only she could perceive.

Transcending people, nature, cities, and cultures, this gently luminous book invites readers to rediscover the quiet beauty hidden in everyday scenes.
