[About the Book]
—Weaving poetry in an absurd world—
Reality and imagination, consciousness and the unconscious, presence and absence, self and other, light and shadow.
Layer upon layer, these worlds intertwine and take shape in words—in poetry.

This collection brings together poems by Shugo Kawahara, drawn from his previously published works, along with tanka, essays, and literary critiques. It stands as a culmination of his creative journey to date—a single volume that distills years of poetic exploration and thought.

[Editor's Comment]
As you read the poems in this book, you’ll be reminded that the “words” we use so casually each day hold infinite possibilities.
Sometimes they reflect our own hearts; at other times, they open gateways to the unknown.
Please take your time and savor the ever-shifting colors of language that emerge throughout these pages.
