[About the Author]
Jukichi Irie

Born in Ehime Prefecture in 1947. Completed doctoral coursework (PhD candidate status) at Kyoto University in 1977. Currently Professor in the Faculty of Economics at Matsuyama University (specializing in philosophy and environmental thought).
