[About the Book]
Even in an age of war and upheaval, there were flowers that bloomed in silence.
They were daughters, mothers, and lovers. Bound by duty and torn apart by fate, their spirits never wavered.
This book portrays the lives of twenty-four women who surrounded one of the most powerful warlords of Japan’s Sengoku period, Takeda Shingen. Moving beyond the glare of power and battlefield glory, it traces a mother’s devotion, a wife’s dignity, and the quiet strength of women who endured history’s turbulence.
Though many of them left little trace in official chronicles, their lives continue to speak across the centuries.
Lady Ōi, who endured loneliness while safeguarding her household.
Lady Suwa, who married the man who killed her father and lived between love and hatred.
Princess Matsu, who witnessed the fall of her clan and survived through prayer and resilience.
Within their stories burns a fierce passion beneath outward composure.
This is not a tale of samurai heroism.
It is a tribute to the enduring strength of women—and of the human spirit itself—offered to all who are moved by stories of resilience beyond the battlefield.
