[Author’s Biography]
Gensho Takahara
Born in 1947 (Showa 22).
Chief Priest of Kaina Shrine (1970–2020); currently Honorary Chief Priest of the same shrine.
Organizer of the Peace Grove (supporting religious and cultural initiatives).
Author of “A Study of Purification” and “An Outline of Ritual Rites”.
“Teachings of the Peace Grove: One Step a Day” (Yamanashi Furusato Bunko), among others.
Recent works include the novel “The Minobu Line: A Tale” (under the name Ki Tomoyuki) and the essay collection “Record of a Shrine Guardian”.
