[About the Product]
— The Man Who Greatly Influenced Japan’s Business Leaders —
During Japan’s Edo period, many feudal domains faced financial crises, compounded by frequent crop failures caused by abnormal weather. In the midst of such hardship, Sontoku Ninomiya, an agricultural reformer and philosopher, worked to save lives, lead fiscal reforms, revive villages, and advocate for the proper role of leadership.
His achievements and teachings are recorded in the Hotokuki (Record of Repaying Virtue). It is said that figures like Sakichi Toyoda, founder of the Toyota Group, and Konosuke Matsushita, founder of Panasonic, also read this work. Hotokuki has profoundly influenced many of Japan’s greatest leaders.
Ninomiya’s teachings transcend time and continue to shine even today—this book invites you to experience them firsthand.
