[About the Book]
Time always slips away on its own. The people we meet eventually fade into memory. Yet, from within those memories, there are moments when people return unexpectedly, when words find their way back to us. Words are placed upon the scenery before us, and in time, they take shape on paper.

From youthful sensitivity to more contemplative years, this collection brings together 44 works selected from the creative journey of a Japanese poet—recipient of a poetry award. At the end of the volume, readers will also find an essay on the craft of poetry.
