HIROSHIMA COURT NAGASAKI COURT Since the airplanes flew into the World Trade Center on 9/11, there has been support for the revanchist approach of “an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth”. While I once had a meal at the restaurant on the highest floor of the World Trade Center, I went down to the floor directly below it on foot, as guided by a local lawyer. The pillars of the building which were surrounded by a sturdy steel frame were covered with white asbestos. At the time of the building’s collapse, it was reported that there was white smoke being emitted, but this was in fact asbestos being scattered. It is possible that the damage to the public inflicted by this may give birth to more hatred in the future.
